CTI to introduce innovations in IPTV at CSTB 2014
This year CTI is going to surprise not only telecom operators, its traditional customers, with new solutions. At the CSTB exhibition that will be held from 28 to 30 January at the Crocus Expo exhibition Center, CTI is going to introduce interesting TV products for media and sports industries, as well as solutions for Connected TV. These innovative services were developed as part of Connected Media and Connected Sport directions set this year. This once again confirms that CTI is one of the fastest growing technology companies over the last 5 years.
Connected Sport is a technological solution that brings together fixed and mobile stadium screens in a single centralized video system. This solution drives fan experience forward and makes it more exciting. Sports fans could enjoy the game wherever — at the stadium, at home or in the fanclub. Now it is possible to move around the stadium, select camera and desired angle, to playback game highlights and to share them using social networks.
Connected Media is a solution that connects TV with Internet services. This format offers radical new concept of TV. Just a year ago, it seemed that almost no viewers connect their TVs to the Internet and did not use web applications via TV. Now the situation has changed. Parks Associates analysts presented statistics showing 80% of owners in the United States regularly use Smart TV application, 43% of owners watch videos and 45% — play the games. According to Video International, in the middle of 2013, 5% of Russians used Smart TV, half of them connected to online services and 90 % watched the video on the Internet.
In addition, there will be presented solutions for telecom operators on a huge booth at CSTB: TVEngine — platform for IPTV and OTT, Mobile companion (SecondScreen), Kinovia* On Demand video service, Hybrid TV and others. Exhibition participants will have an opportunity to explore new solutions for TV and media companies, Teleportal innovative multi-screen video service, solutions for stadiums and TV channels, Connected Stadium video system for sports broadcasting using many cameras and also to see how the portal of public services on the Smart TV has been implemented.
«CSTB is a key event in the industry in which CTI participates for many years. We are looking forward to welcoming you at our booth! Experts are going to not simply showcase the latest developments, but also to give everybody an opportunity to personally check their quality and comfort», says Anna Avstreykh, Chief Marketing Officer at CTI.
