Creating a corporate multi-service IP/MPLS network for OJSC Evroset
Upgrading the existing core network for CJSC Elektrosvyaz in the city of Moscow and consolidating the company’s RF branches into a geographically distributed network to provide a unified user service package.
CTI experts along with CJSC Elektrosvyaz engineers have worked out and agreed upon a solution based on using Cisco 7609 routers to arrange the network core and the existing Cisco 3600 and 3800 routers to connect to the branch network in the regions using the IP/MPLS protocol.
The project has been implemented in 3 steps. The first step involved working out and approving the detailed design which then successfully passed the state examination in the field of communications. The second step included upgrading equipment in Moscow and then, the third step, at regional connections.
Implementing the project has resulted in delivering the inter-branch traffic for Elektrosvyaz and Evroset with the appropriate level of priority (delay, packet loss, etc.) depending on application requirements, thus improving the quality of transmitted voice and video data, and other traffic sensitive to the characteristics of the communication medium.
